TERMS OF REFERENCE

Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified nationals of Member Statesand Associate Member States to fill the following position at the Association of theCaribbean States.Job Title: AdvisorLevel: Junior ProfessionalReports to: Director – Transport, Trade & Sustainable DevelopmentType of appointment: Full timeDuration of appointment: Three years (with an option of renewal for two years)GENERAL OBJECTIVESThe Convention that established the ACS defined amongst the purposes and functions ofthe organization to harness, utilise and develop the collective capabilities of the CaribbeanRegion to achieve sustained cultural, economic, social, scientific and technologicaladvancement; promote enhanced economic space for trade and investment withopportunities

for cooperation and concerted action; and, in fulfilling these purposes, theACS is to promote economic integration, including the liberalisation of trade, investment,transport and other related areas.In light of these general objectives, the Directorate for Transport, Trade and SustainableDevelopment is responsible for the ACS work programmes for Trade Development andExternal Economic Relations and Transport.It has been determined that, in an effort to balance the technical capabilities of theDirectorate, and to be able to support the relevant area of Transport for the region thatthis Terms Of Reference concentrate in this field.Page 2 of 8SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONUnder the general guidance of the
